Why your walls stay damp
Here is the thing about mold—it loves stagnant, wet air. Standard heaters just warm up the air around you, which often leaves your cold walls sweating. That’s how you get those annoying damp spots in the corners. Our lamps work differently. Instead of heating the air, they go straight for the surfaces. The quartz tubes hit the tiles and grout with a specific kind of heat that pushes the surface temperature above the dew point. Basically, if the wall stays warm, the water can’t pool. We use short-wave infrared because it actually sinks into the porous parts of your tiles, driving the moisture out from the inside. It’s simple physics, but it makes a huge difference.
The honest truth about the tech
We built these things to survive the steam and humidity of a shower, so the heating elements are sealed tight to stop them from rusting out. You’ll notice the room feels drier almost the second you flip the switch. But, there’s a catch. To get enough heat to actually stop mold, these lamps runhot. Don’t try to squeeze them into a tiny ceiling soffit without enough breathing room. If you don’t leave space for the air to move in the ceiling, you’re probably going to trip your thermal breakers. Just make sure your ventilation is sorted before you install them.
